Ballet San Angelo is excited to announce a new partnership with Meals for the Elderly, the local private non-profit devoted to feeding our community’s homebound elderly. Meals for the Elderly serves approximately 700 community members a day, whose isolation is further augmented during this coronavirus health challenge. For these people, the Ballet will offer information and technical assistance for their online Joy of Movement program. Joy of Movement is a ballet-based class for seniors, designed to address neurological challenges ranging from Parkinson’s to the basic aging process, building improved balance, strength, mobility and cognition. In conjunction with this program, Ballet San Angelo will be conducting a month-long drive through the end of August to promote volunteerism and solicit box fan donations, at the top of the organization’s wanted list in the heat of the summer.
